WAS Redskins plan for 2011 D

Last year’s defense for the Washington Redskins did not have a very good year. The struggles that the defense had were personified by the fact that they had that huge loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field. The Washington Redskins do have an impressive cornerback in Deangelo Hall, but even with him people around the league are questioning the toughness of a guy like Deangelo Hall. Phillip Buchanon has also shown some capability as a cornerback in the league, but the truth of the matter is that most of his success has largely come as a punt returner.

WAS Redskins plan for 2011 D
Phillip Daniels is a capable, but aging defensive end for the Washington Redskins. It would not be a bad idea for the Redskins to draft a defensive end or two to plug some of these holes. Daniels is also often injured so this would add another reason for them to look at the roster spot of defensive end. Lorenzo Alexander is heading into his sixth year in the league at defensive end and they are going to have to get more out of him in order to find success in the NFC East. Brian Okrapo has been extremely successful in his early

Who Will Win the AFC South in the 2011-2012 Season?

Archived in the category: NFL

The AFC South is an interesting division. That’s putting it nicely. This division consists of the Indianapolis Colts, the Houston Texans, the Tennessee Titans, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Looking at these names three years ago would make you say “Wow!” Looking at these names now makes you want to say, “I think I have to throw up.” Let’s take a look at why this division has become so weak so fast.

The Indianapolis Colts used to be the most feared team in the NFL. Despite only one Super Bowl win, this was the case for a very long time. And yes, this had everything to do with Peyton Manning. You might be thinking that the Colts still have Manning and that many players will return from injury, but let’s be realistic. The truth of the matter is that the Colts are a small team that plays on turf. Therefore, they’re always going to be injured. Only the names will change. And since the starters are usually playing, they’re usually going to be important names. Manning is still great, but the Colts just don’t have the running game to be a well-rounded offensive threat. And they didn’t make any moves to improve their running game. Many people also feel that the Colts have passed their window and the players sense it – not a good situation. Despite all these negatives, the Colts are still likely to win the division. This isn’t because they have a great team. It’s because their competition is weak.

The Houston Texans
were listed as a favorite to go to the Super Bowl prior to last season. Hard to believe, isn’t it? With a great running back, the best receiver in the game, and a very solid quarterback, it might make sense. But what people failed to realize was

Malcom Floyd – Where Will this NFL Free Agent Go?

Archived in the category: NFL

Do you think you know Malcom Floyd? Unless you’re a San Diego Chargers fan, you don’t really know Malcom Floyd. Let’s look at this from the perspective of the non-Chargers fan. In your eyes, Malcom Floyd is probably an up-and-coming young receiver who is large and possesses a ton of potential.
Malcom Floyd Where Will this NFL Free Agent Go?
What you don’t know is that Malcom Floyd will be 30 this year and he has been playing in the league for the better half of a decade. The reason you hadn’t heard of him much prior to 2009 was because of injuries. At 6’5 and 226 lb, he’s built like Andre Johnson. However, he is injured more often than Andre Johnson, which is difficult to accomplish. There is no point in having a great WR if he’s constantly in the trainer’s room.

When Malcom Floyd is healthy, he puts up decent numbers. In 2009, he had 750 receiving yards and 1 TD. In 2010, he had 37

New England Patriots Running Game, 2011-12 Season

Archived in the category: NFL

Although they’ve become known as one of the league’s most potent passing teams under Tom Brady, the 2010-11 Patriots ended up with a surprisingly prolific rushing offense. They were ninth in the NFL in total rushing yards and third in rushing TDs, with the bulk of those accumulations divided up between BenJarvus Green-Ellis and newcomer Danny Woodhead. Both figure to be in the mix next year as well, and the bet here is to see an even more effective Patriots rushing attack develop, based on a few key considerations.
New England Patriots Running Game, 2011 12 Season
Tom Brady had a season for the ages throwing the ball last year, racking up nearly 4,000 yards, 36 touchdowns, and just 4 interceptions. He made great use of rookie tight ends Jeremy Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, and shook off the loss of deep threat

In the last two seasons, the New York Jets have made it to the AFC Championship game and lost. Coincidentally, those were also the first two years in the NFL for Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez. While making the NFL playoffs is never a lock for any team, the Jets have to do very little to make sure they are good enough to at least make the playoffs again in 2011. The areas where the Jets need work are the parts of their game that will decide whether or not they get past the AFC Championship game this time and play in the Super Bowl.
What Will it Take for the New York Jets to win the Superbowl?
One of the free agent questions looming over the New York Jets is whether or not cornerback Antonio Cromartie will remain with the team. But there are two things to consider that make the departure of Cromartie less of a factor. The first is that Darelle Revis was injured much of the 2010 season and was not playing up to full potential. Next season, Revis should be back to full health and that will help completely shut down one side of the field to the opposing passing game.

Antonio Cromartie got to see a lot of action last season because teams were trying to avoid throwing at Revis. But even at his best, Cromartie did not seem irreplaceable. His play was inconsistent, he took bad

Mark Sanchez must be delighted. Finally, after 6 weeks he knows that he doesn’t need the surgery for his injured shoulder. I bet he is thrilled about that.
No Surgery for Sanchez

In his recent statement he stated that he is relieved that he won’t have to go under the knife and then spend the entire offseason on rehabilitation.
He did that once, not so long ago. Last year he was off for the offseason, recovering from a knee injury.

Jay Cutler doesn’t have an easy time. This Bears’ quarter back has been badly injured during the NFC Championship game spraining his MCL.
Jay Cutler doesnt have an easy time

He was forced to leave the game and exit the field, something probably no player is happy about. But that’s not all. Just after he left, he become a centre of attacks from his NFL colleagues who started openly commenting and questioning the seriousness of his injury and his attitude towards it. To make things even worse, they started doing so in public through various social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.

No matter what you might think, football as we know it is a very physical sport. The most famous coaches the NFL had knownFor most of the fans it is the team, or even individual players that matter most. An expert though will know that there is more people involved in the teams successes (or failures) than just the players running around the field.

Today I want to focus on football managers, the people thanks to whose efforts we get to see and experience some wonderful games on the field.
